Shirdi is popular for the temple built on the Samadhi of Sai Baba. Hundreds of thousands of tourists and pilgrims visit Shirdi not just from the neighboring states and cities but from all throughout the country. Shirdi experiences pleasant temperatures between 10-25 degree Celsius in December which makes it pretty comfortable for traveling and sightseeing.
Popular Attractions and Activities
A must-visit place during Shirdi trip is the Sai Baba Temple, which is a shirine build over the Samadhi of Shri Sai Baba. The temple was built in 1922 to carry out the services of the saint. Another shrine is Dwarkamayi. (See all Shirdi temples). There are lot more to do than visiting the temples. One can visit the Ganga Ghat, Ghats of Godavari, Tapovan and rock cut Jain Caves (Shirdi Attractions - Ghats & Historic Sites). If you have extra time, one can also visit the Shani-Shinghnapur - popular for the Shani-Shinghnapur temple and also a little village where the houses do not have doors and windows and yet no thief or robber dares to steal or plunder!
