Value for money Hotel Location Cleanliness Staff Service Restaurant Stayed on August 17, 2012 Would you stay in this hotel again? No Guest Comments: The location of this Kodaikanal hotel is good. Food is ok. We had a lot of open space for having a good walk and for the kids to play. But maintenance of this place needs a lot of improvement. There is no intercom. Buzzer in my room also didn't work. The rooms' cleanliness is very average... For the amount being charged, the room facilities are less than expected like towels, poor generator support etc.

Yes Guest Comments: We had a very nice and comfortable stay in the resort. The location of the resort is excellent, with all the amenities within short distance. My daughters really fell in love with the Redwood cottage where we stayed with split level bedrooms, huge sitting room and furnished balcony. The Hotel Manager was very helpful, friendly and took care of all the needs. For vegetarians, it is a very good hotel. Needs improvement to the approach entrance and may be a good reception area. One important drawback, is that the hotel does not accept Credit Cards. This is also not displayed in the hotel and only on inquiry we found this out. Luckily I was able to draw money from the ATM to settle my bills. So carry sufficient cash to cover your stay in this resort. This is a major drawback in these days of plastic money. Secondly, there are no telephones in the rooms and only old type call bell. Manager provides his personal Mob No. to contact him for room service. It is an green oasis in the midst of concrete jungle in the heart of Kodai. Else our stay was very comfortable and will surely recommend it my friends and others

No Guest Comments: Hotel was not good, first of all no access for taxi, internet. There was no water for half of the day when we reached and wasted our time.I never recommend this hotel in Kodaikanal for a good stay.

Value for money Hotel Location Cleanliness Staff Service Restaurant Stayed on April 20, 2011 Would you stay in this hotel again? Yes Guest Comments: We stayed 4 days, 3 nights at Woody's Hotel in Kodaikanal. The hotel is located in the center of Kodaikanal, but once you enter the campus, it felt like a beautiful forest filled with flowers and nature, a very natural moat. We checked into a deluxe cottage; the receptionist, Mr Lingam, gave us the privilege to chose the cottage from the non-occupied ones. We spent the days outside, one of them in a hotel sponsored tourist package. The driver provided was very reliable, & service oriented. The room was very spacious with amenities beyond my expectations, (fridge, microwave etc) The room service and cleaning was very prompt At night, we were able to spend a lovely time, whether it is to sit out in the balcony as beautifully haunting fog appeared on and off in the forest view, while sipping cold beer, or to have a warm camp fire on the lawn which the hotel front desk arranged for a cost. Few down sides: The electric sockets were not working when we checked on arrival. This was promptly fixed when informed. Also, there is no phone connection from room to reception, though Mr Lingam gave his mobile number and was available 24 hrs whenever we called for some need. Also, I wish there was non-veg food in restaurant.
