Yes Guest Comments: Hats off to the staff of Hotel Chanakya BNR in Puri and hotelpushpak.com. We had booked our vacation of 4 days at this hotel through hotelpushpak.com. We are pretty much overjoyed with "more than expected" arrangements made, by both hotel and hotelpushpak.com, for our vacation. The location was awesome with a splendid view of the sea-shore. The hotel staff were very much cooperative, friendly with the "in-instant" service and attitude. The front desk was attentive and checked us in, though with a bit of lag as the room preparation took some time, but again that was acceptable, given the kind of service and accommodation provided. Moreover the food served was great i.e. less spicy and oily and the order was served without delay, once-placed. We have thought of making Chanakya BNR and hotelpushpak.com as our permanent choice whenever we visit Puri. I would again like to thank the staff of Chanakya BNR,Puri and hotelpushpak.com for making our stay a wonderful one.

Yes Guest Comments: Just after reaching at Chanakya at Puri, they greeted us very courteous smile. Our room the House of Patiala at platform A was ready and we checked in no time. it was nice specious and clean. Bath room was well organized with all toiletries. Dining car, in house restaurant was very good. we availed complimentary breakfast and had lunch. but my elder son was more interested in room service coz he loves to watch TV. It had much more facilities such as badminton, TT. We loved cycling on the beach. garden of hotel was lush green. Location wise hotel is very good. My both kids were very happy to see the roaring waves of sea from balcony and room. Beach was 200m away from the hotel and was quite and away from public crowd. Two nearby temples of Shri Swaminarayan and Thakur Anukul Chand gave spiritual experiences to me and my wife. We had one problem that it did not have a swimming pool.

Yes Guest Comments: Location of Hotel is very good & a good place where one can stay & enjoy with kids & family. Staff are good & helpful front desk, when we need to go for Darshan of Lord Jagannath, all information was provided by desk & also Hotel attached Panda took us at temple & had a comfortable darshan of Lord in rush our too. Recreation facility is very good where we enjoyed cycling, table tennis Badminton with family.

Waited for about an hour at the reception as the room was not vacated even after 0800 hrs. With no alternative arrangements, we had no choice but to wait at the reception. This must be avoided. 2. Room service can be improved by faster response time. 3. Food quality was of average quality. 4. Service in the restaurant can be improved.

Yes Guest Comments: As we had stayed in this hotel 5 years back, we were pleasantly surprised by the positive change that has happened. The hotel is now managed by the Chanakya group and has been renovated. The renovation is just right - modernization without losing the old world charm. It is full of historic pictures of Indian railways - from the British Raj days to post-independence. I do not think there is any other hotel in Puri, which can match the spaciousness and elegant ambiance of Chanakya BNR. The staff is helpful & courteous and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that your stay is comfortable. The restaurant uses gleaming crockery & cutlery. The food is excellent and good value for money. As most meals are freshly cooked after you place your order, you will need to factor in a lead time of about 30 to 45 mins for the food to be served. Though the hotel is not on the beach, you get an unobstructed view of the sea from the hotel. There is a complimentary pickup & drop service between the hotel & Puri railway station - though it is only half a kilometer away. Payment by credit card can be a problem - as the machine was not working when we were checking out. Therefore - please check in advance. We are looking forward to our next stay at this hotel.

Yes Guest Comments: the hotel is just near the puri rly.station .the layout is grand and magnificent ,looks like a palace.bouganvellia spread over the terrace make it more attractive.green grass,an old rly.engine in the campus gives it the heritage look.the wooden floor of the room and 10 ft.door adds to its beauty.large terrace facing sea is another attraction.we called the housekeeping for an extra bed and they arranged it in a minute.they arranged a good car for sight seeing on reasonable rates.barring the only negative feature the distance from beach,the hotel has everything a tourist desires.
